On the move...

Madison is crawling! I has taken some time but she officially can get across a room on her hands and knees.  Madison enjoys this very much and is proud of herself :)  As the mom, I'm not to sure how I like it.  I already miss the days of when I set her down and she stayed put.  Time to baby proof the house!!

A little video of her first day of crawling:

The bad part about learning to crawl is that there may be a few spills.  Madison got her first boo boo :(  (Please ignore the food on her face!)  Poor baby!

She actually has pulled herself up once too so I'm sure walking will be here before we know it!

Wings Clipped

Madison has had some CRAZY hair during her short time on earth.  From the large bald spot due to sleeping on her back to the comb over and the cowlick.  But craziest of all was her wings!  Todd and I decided it was time to trim them in hopes to even out her hair a little.

Before picture:

They must go!!

After picture:

Much better!!  I think she agrees :)

Michigan, Chicago & Lansing

After Christmas we spent a few days at home and relaxed but then soon packed up the family and drove north to Michigan.  Madison was able to enjoy another Christmas experience with Grandma and Grandpa and received some great gifts, as did we :)

Our good friends Angie and Josh were able to visit with us many times while we were there!  We brought in the New Year with them while Madison stayed with my parents.

Our 5 year anniversary was on Jan 6 so to celebrate, Todd and I went to Chicago for three days while my parents were generous enough to watch Madison for us!  It was cold but we had a great time and ate a lot of wonderful food.  We visited Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, Millennium Park (the bean), the Hancock Building, Navy Pier, China Town, and Greek Town.

We returned to Michigan for two nights and then drove to Lansing where my aunt and uncle live.  I have a cousin from Hawaii who is a freshman at Michigan State and is also on the Gymnastics team.  We were able to watch her at her first official meet.  It was fun!!  Madison got her picture taken with Sparty.  Do we have a future spartan?

It was a great trip!  A big thank you to my parents for watching Madison and my aunt & uncle for letting us stay with them!!
