Happy Mother's Day
I had a very special Mother's Day since we have our newest addition in the family. It started with breakfast in bed from a wonderful husband and dad. I'm feeling very blessed!! Also, a happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother :)

Curious George
If you know Madison, you know she LOVES Curious George. She has a Curious George stuffed animal she sleeps with. A few books that we read daily and a coloring book that is well loved. She would watch Curious George episodes all day if I let her. So, when our local PBS station said Curious George was coming to Lexington I knew she would love to go visit him. I stayed home with Kaden, but Todd was a great dad and took his Princess to see her favorite monkey. She had a great time and when she got home she wanted to get back in the car and see him again.
Every other time she has seen a person in an animal suite like this she has been terrified. It was a big step for her to give him a hug!
They had animals there too!

Introducing Kaden James!
Kaden James Cox was born May 2, 2013 at 2:22pm. He was 7 lb 7 oz and 20 in. We are in Love!!
He was kind enough to wait until 2 days after big sister's birthday so they could each have their own special day in years to come :) A BIG thank you to Aunt Shawna for taking care of Madison until we got home from the hospital!

Madison is 2!
Our big girl turned 2!! I can't believe how fast time has gone. We were blessed to celebrate with many of our family members. Uncle Aaron, Aunt Shawna and Christopher spent the weekend with us before her birthday and then Grandma, Grandpa and Grammy were there to celebrate on the special day. Since baby brother could arrive any day, we kept things low key. It was a fun day filled with Curious George (Madison's favorite right now), pizza, cake and presents.
Happy Birthday Madison! We love you so much!!

Easter 2013
Daddy helping with the stickers!
We went to Easter service on Friday night. Our church opened a new campus and they asked the regular members to attend Friday night so there would be more open seats on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we went to Corbin and spent the day with Todd's family. His mom made us a nice Easter dinner and Madison got an Easter basket. Easter morning Madison got her basket from the Easter Bunny and then in the afternoon she dyed Easter eggs for the first time. She ate a lot of candy and had a wonderful day!

World of Words
As a parent, I often wonder/worry if my child is on track developmentally (I'm sure others do this as well). For a long time I thought she was never going to talk! Her pediatrician assured me she was on track. I decided to make a list of her words and she is actually saying a lot now. It's amazing how quickly her skills developed. Here is her current list (I'm probably missing some and she is truly adding new words every few days).

She also knows many animal sounds and can point to many body parts.
A few words I'd like her to learn: Please (actually saying it), Thank You, Sorry, Love You
She loves music but hasn't started to sing yet. I can't wait to hear her little signing voice!

Egg Hunt
Our church had its Easter egg hunt a few weeks before Easter this year. We lucked out and had beautiful weather! Madison's little friends, Alex & Hudson, were also there. Madison was a pro and wracked up the most eggs in her age group. She wasn't a fan of the Easter bunny so we couldn't get her to take a picture alone with him. The kids had a great time!
