Easter 2013

 Someone is ready for Easter!

Mommy teaching Madison how to dye "Eggies".
 Daddy helping with the stickers!

We went to Easter service on Friday night.  Our church opened a new campus and they asked the regular members to attend Friday night so there would be more open seats on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday we went to Corbin and spent the day with Todd's family.  His mom made us a nice Easter dinner and Madison got an Easter basket.  Easter morning Madison got her basket from the Easter Bunny and then in the afternoon she dyed Easter eggs for the first time.  She ate a lot of candy and had a wonderful day!

World of Words

As a parent, I often wonder/worry if my child is on track developmentally (I'm sure others do this as well).  For a long time I thought she was never going to talk!  Her pediatrician assured me she was on track.  I decided to make a list of her words and she is actually saying a lot now.  It's amazing how quickly her skills developed.  Here is her current list (I'm probably missing some and she is truly adding new words every few days).

She also knows many animal sounds and can point to many body parts.
A few words I'd like her to learn: Please (actually saying it), Thank You, Sorry, Love You
She loves music but hasn't started to sing yet.  I can't wait to hear her little signing voice!

Egg Hunt

Our church had its Easter egg hunt a few weeks before Easter this year.  We lucked out and had beautiful weather!  Madison's little friends, Alex & Hudson, were also there.  Madison was a pro and wracked up the most eggs in her age group.  She wasn't a fan of the Easter bunny so we couldn't get her to take a picture alone with him.  The kids had a great time!

Explorium - Children's Museum

This seems to be the winter that won't end.  Since we've been trapped in the house so much, we decided to meet up with our friend Amanda and her son, Alex, for a trip to the children's museum in Lexington.  Madison and Alex had a great time exploring.  Their favorite parts were the water table and bubble station.

They got pretty wet.  Next time we will bring a change of clothes!
